Corrosion resistance:

Alloy 59 (w.nr.2.4605, nicr23mo16al) is a high nickel alloy product invented by VDM in Germany. It was also called nickel 5923 HMO in the past, and now it is generally called VDM 59 alloy or 59 alloy. Due to the extremely low carbon and silicon content, VDM 59 alloy has no tendency of grain boundary dispersion, which is conducive to hot forming or welding. Therefore, alloys can be used in many chemical media for oxidation and reduction. In addition, VDM 59 alloy has better resistance to chloride ion corrosion due to its high nickel, chromium and molybdenum. It has excellent corrosion resistance to inorganic acids, such as nitric acid, phosphoric acid, sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid, especially the mixed acids of sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid, and has excellent corrosion resistance to mixed solutions of various inorganic acids.
